Course Description Swim Course The point to point swim takes place in the secluded cove at Demarest Lloyd State Park covering 1/3 of a mile. The temperature at the end of September will be close to 70’, so wetsuits will be optional. You’ll finish this point-to-point swim by running through one of our huge Max Arches into the transition area! You’ll then leave the Park via cheers from the fan-lined Park road. Note - any practice swims at Demarest Lloyd State Park will have to be done at high tide to simulate the course.
Bike Course The bike course is by far the signature leg of Buzzards Bay Triathlon. Previous competitors have described "Martha Stewart like Farmhouses and amazing stonewalls. I loved the scenery!" The course is looped with one gradual climb at Mile 3. After that, you’ve got smooth roads and beautiful views to take you through a total of 14.7 miles.
Run Course The last portion of the Tri is a 5k out and back run that travels on park and rural town roads, a good portion of which, is under a tree-lined arched Park road. Spectators line the roads to cheer you back to the finish under yet another Max Arch!
